Market Development Manager - Trauma

Main Objectives

The Market Development Manager will play a key role in the future direction of the of the TrackX Orthopedic Trauma specialty line. The Market Development Manager will support continued profitable growth, diversification outside of the current concentration in spine and, expansion of relevant core competencies withing the company. The individual in this role reports to the Vice President – Business Development. The Market Development Specialist Manager will provide competent clinical and technical support to medical professionals and agent representatives in key development geographies to develop as a driver of market development plans.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development of field focused strategic market/product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales; identifies volume and strategic customers; and develops key partnerships
  • Works closely with Marketing, Development, and Commercial teams to support procedures involving TrackX in the Orthopedic Trauma specialty.
  • Aligns regularly with Marketing and Sales Leadership to achieve strategic company objectives.
  • Actively participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements for product portfolios
  • Develops and manages direct relationships with Key Opinion Leader (KOL)'s, consultants and surgeons, to maximize portfolio adoption, including surgical case coverage, in-person and remote communications and interactions
  • Assists Sales Agents, Surgeons, Operating Room Personnel, and Biomedical Departments with collection and dissemination of market-provided feedback.
  • Actively participates in field-based core and advanced training to agents, field representatives and employees.
  • Actively participates in development programs focused on surgeon and sales relationship building / management.
  • Continuously increases knowledge of new developments within the assigned market as well as TrackX products to perform as a subject matter expert.
  • Participates in company and industry events such as sales meetings, seminars, training programs, conventions, trade shows, etc. as requested.
  • Executes post case Field Evaluations of local sales representative to drive professional development
  • Creates, delivers, drives, and supports strategically defined field based sales training initiatives on strategic accounts
  • Drives appropriate information on new product developments, new competitive products and selling strategies, and current applicable medical literature to the sales force
  • Maintains all current certifications and vendor hospital credentialing.
  • Adheres to written procedures for troubleshooting and support of TrackX products.
  • Provides prompt and accurate complaint reports per the quality system requirements.
  • Completes required administrative duties such as activity logs, travel reports, expense reports, etc. per established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in process to provide best-fit alternative options to expand current core competencies. This will include the generation of intelligence derived by gathering and analyzing information by attending seminars, tradeshows, undertaking web research, compiling sales and customer input.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
Work Commitment

The Market Development Manager can expect regular overnight travel. As with most externally focused sales positions, the individual in this role should expect that a large percentage of their time would be spent outside the company. This individual needs to be flexible with extending hours and days of work, when necessary, to meet the needs of customers and associates at Res.

  • Ability to travel up to 80 percent of the time
Required
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent experience
  • Experience in development, implementation and successful execution of plans to generate new business in targeted market segments and prospects
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Smartsheet, Hubspot, Slack, and other internet based platforms
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Component part & assembly print reading skills

Marketing Manager

Job Description

Objectives
  • Collaborate with the business team to uncover insights and strategies for developing and implementing marketing and branding for new and existing products, internally and externally
  • Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying revenue opportunities within our established client base and managing consistent growth through lead generation
  • Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure tracking, and other financial considerations
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our marketing strategies while working closely with customers, management, development teams, and distribution partners, to create an effective and efficient plan focused on growing audiences for our products and services
  • Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plan and strategies, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales
  • Plan, attend and manage meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, coordinating mailing lists, and providing post-event reports and analysis
  • Maintain an LMS directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
  • Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to sales team, and provide instructions for use or promotion

Product Manager - Spine

Job Description

The Product Manager – Spine will be responsible for managing the Spine portfolio in the US for product development, U.S. sales activities, expectations related to development, and execution of the strategies throughout the Product's life cycle. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to coordinating the commercialization strategies for product development releases and launches, development of Education and Training activities, supporting the commercial activities in Spine surgery, the financial performance of the commercial product offering, and building brand recognition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops new products in conjunction with Marketing, Development and Sales Management personnel
  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation
  • Manages day to day progress of product
  • Manage all Spine field-based activities including trials and clinical support
  • Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products
  • Coordinates technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production specific to product line
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, development, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities

  • Responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met including the monitoring of test reports, documentation of instructions, etc.
  • Defines promotional activities, publicizing the product through the press, sales force, and alternate distribution channels
  • Coordinates with the Marketing manager for trade shows and other key marketing events
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Spine KOL's
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
  • Required Travel up to 50% (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill based)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training
  • Strong comfort level in a clinical setting (operating rooms, hospitals, etc.)
  • Knowledge of spine surgical procedures as performed by Neuro and Orthopedic surgeons
  • Knowledge of endoscopic spine products and procedures preferred
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence both internal and external stakeholders while creating good rapport

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, engineering or clinical

  • Spine experience highly preferred
  • Understanding of all functions involved in development, production, and marketing of product is preferred
  • Proven ability to travel for past positions preferred
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills
  • Computer proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, PC and various and specialized software
  • Smartsheet, Slack, Hubspot experience is a plus
  • Must be proficient with the use of orthopedic power tools and surgical hand instrumentation
